Getting Closer

Hello all.

It has been a while. Things have been pretty busy here. Id rather be busy than bored. The weather hasnt been great but i havent been outside much either so i havent noticed much. we have had a little snow but nothing that has lasted long. the temps are in the low/mid 40s during the day and low 30s at night. I slept poor the first few days but since getting used to the new bed and pillows have been sleeping fine. have also been a lot busier since those first few days. that probably has more to do with good sleep then anything. the bad thing about sleeping well is that under the circumstances here i dream about the things that i have been doing all day. not much of dream when all i have in my head is maps, meetings, reports, and briefings. could at least dream of summer days in mandan playing ball in the back yard, roasting marsh-mellows, and having a drink with Els by the firepit.
We are a little over half way done with our training here. I am ready to get out. Germany is nice, the little bit that i can over the ten foot fence. I am going to try for a blackhawk ride in the next few days and hope to get some good pics to share.
I have attempted to stay in contact with Elsie, Eve, and Gil via SKYPE. That has gone pretty well but the connection isnt always the greatest. SKYPE is a pretty handy program although. They are doing well, staying very busy. Eve is enjoying school. Apparently she has become pretty good friends with a boy that was also in her class last year. Gil and Eve are finishing up a round of gymnastics. it sounds like that went pretty well. By the end i think Gil even stayed with his class for the full session.
better run,
Take care to all.

Hey nice to hear from you, just asked els if you been busy or what. Trees are down in back yard and what a mess. Keeps me busy and have kids working too. Ran my first 5k with Mandy over the weekend, sucked as bad as I thought it would. stupid running. Got sweet T-shirt, but not worth how sore my legs are. And yes she beat me by about 5 minutes...
Glad to hear all is moving along.

Thanks for the update! :) Think about you alot! And with Eve and this boy....lets keep close tabs on her! :) I know Elsie is all over that!

Keep us posted, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers! And keep your dreams close as soon enough you will be having drinks by the fire with Elsie! :)

And by the way, we LOVE skype, when I have to travel for work, Kameron and I love using it and have decided when the baby comes we will be getting internet for him at his work apartment so he can see the baby everyday!

Take care and chin up!
